According to the Australian Olympic Website there is only 12 days, 5 hours, 44 minutes and 13 seconds to the Vancouver Winter Olympics! I paid for my Foxtel olympics coverage, which to be honest after paying $110 and having all the sports packages you would think it would be included in the package. Since I paid extra for it, my expectations are higher and I hope they live up to the hype that they are trying to create. One thing that I’m happy with though is that they are broadcasting sports that don’t have Australian’s competing as well as the ones that do, seriously what is up with missing out on watching the world’s best athletes in a particular sport just because there are no Australians competing?!

I’ll be looking out for most of the sports but the main ones I want to see are:

- All Snowboardings Events
- Ice Hockey
- Bobsleigh
- Skeleton
- Ski Jumping

I have neglected updating my blog for the most part of this month, so today I decided to get two updates out of the way before the month is over. Apart from my Melbourne trip, this month has been very relaxed, I’m still on holidays from uni and for the first part of the month I wasn’t really receiving many hours at work, which has meant my savings have taken a bit of a hit. I’ve picked up a few more shifts lately and I’m rostered on a bit more next week so hopefully that puts the budget back into the green again.

Only six more months away… I should really stop looking at that countdown timer on my blog, though surprisingly the time has passed fairly quick! I have one more month of holidays and the holidays always fly by, then a few months of uni… we’ll see how quickly that goes, depends on how many essays I have to do *shudders*.

I was browsing blogs earlier today and I came across this video; it is a time lapse of Vancouver which I had found to be pretty awesome. If you decide to watch it, make sure you put the video in full screen mode and watch it in at least 720P otherwise the quality won’t do the video justice.

I recently came back from Melbourne, where Ben, Reese and myself stayed over the New Year period. We only stayed there for 4 days, though after hearing so much about it and not being able to visit every time I was invited, I was certainly glad to have finally visited. I enjoyed my visit so much in fact, I would seriously consider moving there, if it wasn’t for the fact that I will be leaving for Canada soon. Read more…
